About the role

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Medical Receptionist to join our team at an Orthopaedic Surgeon's room in South Brisbane, QLD. This full or part-time role is essential in supporting the smooth and efficient operation of our medical practice, with a focus on providing exceptional customer service to our patients.

What you'll be doing

• Greeting and welcoming patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Scheduling and managing patient appointments, including booking, rescheduling and cancellations
• Handling patient enquiries and providing information regarding the practice, procedures and policies
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Assisting with the processing of patient payments
• Performing general administrative duties to support the smooth running of the practice

What we're looking for

• Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist or similar customer service role in a healthcare setting
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact with patients in a friendly and professional manner
• Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently
• Proficient in using medical practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
• A keen eye for detail and accuracy, with the ability to maintain detailed patient records
• A friendly, empathetic and customer-focused approach to patient care
