About the Role

We’re looking for a confident and capable Medical Receptionist with at least 1 year of experience in a private practice. This role is perfect for someone who is organised, calm under pressure, and passionate about delivering exceptional service to patients and their families.

You’ll be the first face patients see — so your ability to make people feel welcome, comfortable and cared for is essential. This role also offers the opportunity for growth and development for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients with warmth and professionalism

Manage patient bookings, enquiries and reminders using practice management software

Handle phone and email communications with accuracy and discretion

Process billing (Medicare and private), payments, and health fund claims

Support doctors and nurses with admin and patient coordination

Maintain a clean, organised and welcoming reception area

Assist with stock control and general practice duties

You’ll Be a Great Fit If You Have:

Minimum 1 year experience as a medical receptionist in GP clinic (essential)

Familiarity with Medicare billing and appointment software (e.g. Best Practice, HotDoc)

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A calm, compassionate, and professional manner

Excellent multitasking and time management skills

A collaborative attitude and readiness to support the whole team
