A decade ago, the business was acquired by a prominent global entity, significantly expanding its footprint along the east coast of Australia. Today, the company proudly employs nearly 600 team members.

The Senior In-House Counsel, reporting directly to the CEO, will handle a diverse range of responsibilities, including:

• Assisting the CEO and Company Secretary in completing corporate governance and compliance activities.
• Reviewing and assessing contracts, leasing documents, and other legal documents, as well as maintaining template precedents.
• Advising on employment and industrial relations (IR) matters.
• Overseeing the Group’s Delegation of Authority to ensure proper signing and implementation of all agreements and contracts.
• Identifying, analysing, and resolving legal issues and risks affecting the organisation, including risk disputes.
• Providing legal advice on the business's rights and obligations.
• Offering reports and advice on legal risk management for the Group’s business activities.
• Managing general insurance coverage and the claims process.

This role is supported by two Paralegals. The office is located northeast of the CBD, with the team working one day from home. The budget for this role is $160,000 to $180,000 plus superannuation. Our client is also open to a more senior candidate working a reduced week.
