Accounts Payable Officer – Shared Services | Government Opportunity

Bring your sharp eye for detail and strong organisational skills to a key government role supporting a fast-paced Shared Services team. This well-regarded Queensland department is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join their team in the heart of Fortitude Valley, just minutes from Brisbane CBD.

Key details:

📍 Location: 31 Duncan Street, Fortitude Valley, QLD
💰 Hourly Rate: $33.75–$38.75 + super
📅 Contract: 19 May 2025 – 12 Jan 2026, potential extension.
🕗 Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am–4pm

Key Duties:

Accurately process large volumes of accounts payable transactions

Deliver high-quality administrative support within a collaborative environment

Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders

Use your problem-solving and analytical skills to identify process improvements

Prioritise tasks in a fast-paced, changing environment

Work independently while contributing to a supportive team

Key selection criteria:

Strong organisational and time management abilities

Excellent verbal and written communication

Confidence managing competing deadlines

Experience in end-to-end accounts payable, ideally in a large organisation

Knowledge of Ellipse or similar business software is highly desirable

Corporate credit card management experience is ideal.

No worries if you haven’t used Ellipse—full training will be provided.
