About the role

  • Assess and triage clients at the first point of contact to ensure they are connected with the most appropriate treatment or service based on their needs by building rapport and engagement
  • Act as a supportive advocate for callers, their families, and carers, helping them make informed decisions about treatment options and services by providing relevant information to support in decision making
  • Engage in regular training, clinical supervision, and maintain a proactive development plan to stay current with treatment options and improve service delivery.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in nursing, counselling, social work, psychology, or a related field, with eligibility for membership in the relevant professional association.
  • Strong understanding of drug and alcohol health concerns, particularly within primary health care, community, and/or inpatient settings.
  • Proficiency with computers, including email, Microsoft Office, and electronic patient record systems.
  • Proven ability to manage competing workloads efficiently, even in a complex and fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team.
