An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Horticulture Farm Manager to join Currey Flowers QLD pty ltd' in Karalee, QLD. As the Horticulture Farm Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the farm's operations, ensuring the efficient and sustainable production of high-quality flowers and plants.

Key responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive farm management strategies to optimise crop yields, quality, and profitability

Oversee the day-to-day operations of the farm, including planting, irrigation, pest and disease control, and harvesting

Manage and schedule a team of farm workers, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties

Monitor and analyse key performance indicators, making data-driven decisions to improve operational efficiency

Liaise with suppliers, customers, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth running of the business

Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations

Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and process improvement to maintain a competitive edge

What we're looking for

experience in a senior horticulture or farm management role

Strong technical knowledge of horticulture practices, including plant cultivation, pest and disease management, and irrigation systems

Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to adapt to changing conditions

Proven track record of leading and motivating a team to achieve operational goals

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively
