Story Fresh is looking to add to its' permanent crew for field operations. Field crew members work a Monday to Friday roster with only an occasional Saturday (generally due to weather impacts in the week's work schedule). On-the-job training is provided but the role requires the following:

reliability - this job requires people who want to work;

punctuality - crews get started early and must be on time to make the most of the cooler hours for the job;

physically fit - the tasks require a good level of physical fitness;

self-starters - enjoy getting the job done and done well;

strong team player - crews need to be positive and do a quality job, safely and efficiently;

own reliable transport - farms are located in proximity to Toowoomba.

Tasks undertaken include:

harvesting

planting

weeding

irrigation setup

tractor driving

Skill development is important and occurs over time in line with an individual's capability and any prior experience. Pay rates will be negotiated relative to skills (eg. tractor experience, forklift ticket, Chemcert ticket, truck licence) and the level of competency (previous experience in farm tasks).

These are farm based roles: working outside in the fresh air, all year round. We have career pathways in place by promotion from within and upskilling for those keen to build a long term role in farming operations. Story Fresh is a multicultural workplace.
