About the Role

We currently have a vacancy for an experienced Farm Hand to join our dedicated team. As an integral part of our business , you will play a crucial role in the day-to-day operations of our thriving agricultural business, contributing to the overall success and growth of our enterprise.

Daily duties will include but not be limited to:

Assisting with a variety of farming tasks, including planting, harvesting, and maintaining crops

Operating and basic maintenance of farming equipment and machinery like tractors and associated planting and tillage equipment with care and efficiency

Carrying out work programs as devised with the Farm Manager.

Farm road and field maintenance with drag buckets

Ensuring the implementation of all safety protocols and environmental regulations

Chemical applications via boom, hand spraying, and camera spraying.

Participating in ongoing training through toolbox talks to enhance your skills and knowledge

About You

Along with your strong work ethic and experience in a similar position, you'll have/be:

Proven experience as a farm hand or in an agricultural role, preferably in the farming, animals, and conservation industry

Strong practical skills and knowledge of farm equipment operation and maintenance is preferred but not essential - including use of Case and John Deere GPS guidance systems

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and diligent work ethic

Irrigation and/or dryland cropping experience is preferred but not required.

Chemical handling certification preferred but not required.

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality

Adaptability and the willingness to learn new skills and techniques

A valid manual driver's licence and the ability to obtain any necessary licences or certifications required.
