About the role:

Orchard Hands carry out the day-to-day operations and duties involved in running a large-scale orchard and supporting the teams directed by the Farm Manager. The Orchard Farm Hand role involves:

General orchard duties during both harvest and non-harvest periods including but not limited to spraying, weeding, slashing, pruning, mulching, cleaning, irrigation and harvesting nuts.

Operating tractors, tractor drawn machinery and other machinery, equipment, tools, and relevant implements assigned to the tasks on the orchard.

Be capable of working flexibly within both a team environment and independently when needed.

Be motivated, enthusiastic, positive and show initiative.

Have a willingness to learn, be punctual and reliable.

Be physically fit, love working outdoors

Demonstrate a good work ethic with a sense of pride in your work.

Have a positive attitude toward all aspects of Work Health and Safety.

Chemical Certificate desirable

Hold a current, unencumbered drivers’ licence.
