The successful applicant must be able to carry out directions diligently while working alone and with others. The applicant should have good problem-solving abilities (depending on level of experience) and be able to respond to what can be a highly changeable working environment.

Reliability and enthusiasm are a must.

Hourly rate increase dependent on skills and performance demonstrated.

General Duties

1. Day to day general farm duties and maintenance as arranged by farm managers and supervisors.
2. Working on an avocado farm including paddock work as required.
3. Daily machinery maintenance and pre-start checks.
4. Operation of farm machinery including tractors, cherry pickers, front end loaders, trucks, and fork lifts.
5. Chemical application to crops and pastures.
6. Workshop tidying and maintenance.
7. General servicing and maintenance of farm vehicles and other equipment.
8. Be able and willing to spray out of ordinary day time hours i.e. night spraying. When spraying out of ordinary hours extra remuneration is applied.
