About the role
As an OHS Advisor at MA Services Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our employees. This full-time position is based in our Keilor Park, Victoria Head Office, and will see you working collaboratively with our operations teams to implement and maintain robust occupational health and safety practices across the business.
What you'll be doing
Conducting workplace health and safety audits and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards
Developing and delivering targeted training programs to educate employees on OHS policies and procedures
Investigating incidents and accidents, determining root causes and implementing corrective actions
Maintaining comprehensive OHS documentation and reporting to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Collaborating with operational managers to embed a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement initiatives
Providing expert advice and guidance to leaders and employees on all aspects of occupational health and safety
What we're looking for
Tertiary qualification in Occupational Health and Safety (Cert IV or Higher) or a related field
Minimum 3 years' experience in an OHS advisory or compliance role, preferably within the Security, Cleaning and Facilities Management industries preferred
Strong working knowledge of workplace health and safety legislation, regulations and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate stakeholders at all levels
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and the capacity to think strategically about safety risks and solutions
Proactive, detail-oriented and committed to continuous improvement
Use of Computer and Microsoft Office and other Safety System's is a must
Working on the compliance of ISO Standards
Working in the Self Insurance Workspace would be an advantage in this role
