We are looking for a Settlements Team Leader who will be responsible for overseeing verification processes within the Settlements Team, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and efficiency in all operations. This role involves leading a team and being accountable for quality assurance reviews each month, conducting thorough quality checks day to day, and providing guidance, training, and support to the team.
Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying process gaps and implementing improvements to enhance overall efficiency. You will play a key role in optimising workflows and ensuring that SLA targets are consistently met. Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach to continuous improvement are essential for success in this role.
Key Responsibilities

- Escalations & Issue Resolution: Serve as the primary escalation point for verification-related issues
- Day-to-Day Operations Support
- Key Qualifications: A minimum of 3-5 years of people management experience within the finance industry

- Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong understanding of lending products and risk assessment principles.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of relevant Australian regulations and compliance requirements.
