Your role:
This is a driving job with a difference – you’ll operate a variety of high-performance vessels in the Army on military operations and disaster-relief scenarios.
As a member of a large and highly-organised team, you'll play a pivotal role within the Army’s distribution network. Your day-to-day tasks will involve planning the movements of personnel, supplies and equipment – and be responsible for their safe delivery by water.
Your Military duties include, but aren’t limited to:
Operate Army watercraft and amphibious craft
Perform deck hand duties on board Army Watercraft
Operate weapons fitted to amphibian and landing craft
Operate communication and electronic navigation equipment

Location:
Following your initial military training, you could be posted to one of the many Army bases and units across Australia. The majority of these positions are located in QLD but posting opportunities also exist in VIC, NSW, WA and the NT.
Salary:
In the Army you'll get paid a good salary from day one regardless of your age, experience or qualifications. Upon commencing training, your starting salary will be approximately $58,525 per annum plus 16.4% superannuation and your pay will increase as you progress through training.
On completion of your initial military training and initial employment training, you could earn $83,610 per annum plus generous super.
Eligibility:
For this role, you must:
Be at least 17 years of age when you enter the ADF
Have completed an Australian Year 10 education (or equivalent) with passes in English and Mathematics
Be an Australian citizen. If you are not an Australian Citizen you may still be eligible to join the ADF if you meet certain criteria, please visit the ADF Careers Eligibility Page for more details
Be reasonably fit and healthy. Keeping fit is a big part of joining the ADF. You’ll need to pass a physical fitness test before you join, but don’t worry, we'll give you tips to help you prepare
Be able to successfully obtain a security clearance
