An exciting opportunity exists for a highly motivated, enthusiastic child and youth focused person for the position of Community Development Officer – Children and Youth. In this role you will be responsible for developing, coordinating, implementing and evaluating a wide range of outcomes focused strategies, action plans, programs and initiatives for children and young people in the Mount Barker district.

Requirements for the role:

Relevant tertiary qualification, or have equivalent work experience working in a community development role (desirable).

Highly effective verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Demonstrated knowledge of computer applications and records management toolsProven experience working with community groups and organisations.

Proven experience working with community groups and organisations.

Excellent organisational skills with the ability work under pressure, prioritise competing tasks and meet deadlines.

Demonstrated experience and knowledge of Children and Youth needs in a local government and service provision setting(desirable)
