Community Development Support Officer

Level 2 - $88,126.76 (incl $20,000 Port Hedland Allowance)

*Increasing to $90,851.83 as of 1st July 2025

The Role

Are you looking for a role where you can make a meaningful impact on the Hedland Community, take advantage of diverse development opportunities, and work with a vibrant team? Look no further!

As Community Development Support Officer, you will provide administrative and operational support to support the Youth and Community Development team within the Community Services Directorate. You will have the opportunity to assist in the development, promotion, conduct, supervision and evaluation of youth programs, events and services run by the Community Development team at the JD Hardie Youth Zone and external to this facility.

Our ideal applicant will have excellent time management skills, high attention to detail and have a proactive attitude. You will require exceptional customer service skills while demonstrating adequate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, internet and email applications, and social media platforms.

Work Related Requirements

The preferred applicant will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol assessment to be considered for the role, as well as possess:

  • National Police Clearance
  • Current 'C' class driver's license
  • Rights to work in Australia
  • Working with Children Check (or willing to obtain)
  • First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
