About the role
This is a casual Disability Support Worker role with Ozability Support Services', based on the Central Coast, NSW. As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality in-home and community-based support to participants with a range of disabilities, empowering them to live independently and engage with their local community.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Supporting clients to access the community and engage in social, recreational, and educational activities
- Advocating for clients and collaborating with their support networks to ensure their needs are met
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures
- Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards
What we're looking for
- Relevant Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or a related field
- Experience providing support to people with disabilities, either in a professional or personal capacity
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting people with disabilities
- A current driver's licence and access to reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays
