As a experienced Disability Support Worker, you will support people with a disability to achieve their NDIS goals in a community-based setting, offering a unique experience every day! Work will be within the Maitland, Lake Macquarie and Newcastle area. Travel will be required!

We are seeking dynamic and motivated Disability Support Workers with a passion for helping people.

Who are we looking for?

We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers who are interested in securing regular casual hours. With a large volume of shifts available, this opportunity offers flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of individuals with disabilities.

What skills & experience do I need to have?

Effective communication and active listening skills.

Ability to work independently and within a team to achieve goals.

Empathy, compassion, and respect for participants and teammates.

Understanding of relevant policies, procedures, and documentation standards.

Strong decision-making and problem-solving skills.

Competence in using person-centered approaches.

Familiarity with NDIS Standards and regulations.

Essential Criteria for a Support Worker

Flexible availability for work - shifts will range from 2 - 6 hours in duration, mornings, afternoons, evenings and weekends.

NDIS Worker Screening Check.

A valid driver's license and comprehensive insurance.

First aid certification (valid within 3 years) and valid CPR (within 12 months).

Working with Children Check.

NDIS Orientation Module.

Experience working with individuals with a mental health diagnosis is desired.
