About the role

Join the team at Chermside Court Motel as a Caretaker. This contract role offers you the opportunity to work in the vibrant Chermside area of Queensland. Pensioner or semi- retired single/couple. Two weeks on and two weeks off possibly on site. As a Caretaker, you will be responsible for maintaining the motel's facilities and ensuring a comfortable stay for all guests. Hours of operation are 8am to 4pm Monday to Friday and Saturday and Sunday 9am to Midday depending on arrivals and departures . Some days on the weekend - time off but paid for this on a daily rate by contract.

What you'll be doing

Carry out general maintenance tasks around the motel

Respond to guest requests and enquiries in a friendly and professional manner

Assist with check-in and check-out procedures when required which is minimal.

Identify and address any issues or concerns to ensure the motel is well-kept

Support the motel management team with various administrative duties

Work , health and safety required at all times and a duty of care for our guests.

What we're looking for

Previous experience in a similar caretaker or maintenance role, ideally within the hospitality industry but not a pre - requisite , can be trained.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to providing excellent customer service

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Good communication and problem-solving skills
