The Job

We have an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper and Accounts Assistant to assist with the day-to-day finance function. You will be fully trained and supported throughout your time with us with management playing an active role in your development.

The Accounts Administrator plays a critical role in supporting the financial operations of the mortgage broking firm. This position is responsible for handling day-to-day financial transactions, ensuring accurate record-keeping, processing payments, and supporting the overall financial health of the business.

Duties and Requirements

Daily Data Entry and Processing: Accurately enter and process data for approximately 100 lenders and borrowers.

Loan Documentation Analysis: Review and analyse loan documentation to ensure terms and conditions are correctly reflected in our lending software, maintaining high standards of accuracy.

End of Month Processing: Conduct end-of-month processing, reporting, and preparation of lender and borrower statements.

Client Data Management: Input and maintain client data in our CRM system (The Mortgage Office), ensuring all information is up-to-date and accurate.

Compliance Document Maintenance: Maintain a filing system for lender and borrower compliance documents, ensuring all regulatory requirements are met.

Stakeholder Management: Effectively manage and communicate with stakeholders, including lenders, borrowers, and internal team members, to ensure smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.

What you’ll have

● 3 + years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping or accountant role.

● Strong mathematical skills

● Experience in the Financial Services industry - mortgages desirable

● Excellent organisational, administration and time management skills

● Strong attention to detail

● Great communication skills

● Stakeholder management

● CRM database experience (you will be trained)

● Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft products

● You are IT savvy and pick up software programmes easily.
