The Opportunity:

We are seeking a hands-on Accountant who can make a meaningful contribution to our growing business. You will report directly to the Managing Director, along with our Project Manager.

This role has broad exposure from day-to-day finance, strategic business analysis, cost tracking and management across construction projects. It will suit an individual who is dynamic, and career focused.

Key Responsibilities:

· Track and monitor construction project costs, including materials, labour, subcontractors, equipment, and overhead.

· Prepare accurate job cost reports and variance analyses to support project managers and senior leadership.

· Prepare and analyse monthly management reports, KPIs, and business performance dashboards

· Assist in end-of-month and end-of-financial-year reporting and reconciliations

· Prepare budgeting and cash flow forecasting

· Assist with accounts payable, receivable, and payroll

· Maintain compliance through statutory reporting and returns

· Assist in process improvements and contribute to broader business performance

Providing financial support to stakeholders

· Ad-hoc reporting requirements as required by Commercial Management

What you’ll need:

· Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance

· CA or CPA qualification or working towards

· Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role

· Experience with Xero is preferred

· Strong understanding of financial reporting, accounting software and financial analysis.

· Excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.

· Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both financial and non-financial managers

· A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
