About the Role:

We are looking for an efficient and organised Financial / Management Accountant to join the team. This position is offered as permanent full-time and involves a range of tasks, including but not limited to:

• Preparation of accurate and up to date accounts using MYOB
• Accounts receivable and accounts payable duties
• Payroll processing
• Credit card and bank reconciliations
• Business strategy including budgets and forecasts
• Overseeing management of commercial assets
• Preparation of files and source documentation to assist external accountant with the preparation of annual financial reports and tax returns
• Liaising with external accountant
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial statements in compliance with accounting standards
• Perform month-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries
• Ensure timely submission of statutory reports, including tax returns and financial audits
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and responding to queries
• Implement and improve financial processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
• Oversee and prepare Financial / Board reporting
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on financial matters

Salary range of $70,000 to $90,000 pro-rata per annum depending on qualifications and experience.

To be successful in the role you will require:

• Bachelor of Accounting (minimum requirement)
• Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles and practices
• Knowledge of MYOB accounting software, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel & Google Drive
• Ability to manage intercompany transactions
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)

Some on the job training will be provided however we expect the candidate to be proficient in general bookkeeping tasks.
