Job tasks and responsibilities
We are seeking an Experienced Medical Receptionist, for a permanent part time position, minimum 3 days per week (Monday, Thursday 8am-6pm and Friday), approx. 18hrs per week with opportunities for more hours when staff are on leave.
For immediate start.
Prior experience in a medical reception role is essential.
To fulfil this role we would require someone to be:
Adaptable and tech-savvy, with strong proficiency in Best Practice, Medical Director, Pracsoft or similar medical reception software with experience in Medicare processing.
Friendly, outgoing, and professional, with exceptional communication skills and a passion for providing high-quality patient interactions and customer service.
Skills and experience
Selection criteria include
Prior experience in a medical reception role; minimum 1 year experience preferred
Knowledge of software systems, Best Practice preferred
Experience with Medicare processing
Excellent written and verbal skills
Knowledge of patient privacy, booking appointments, and patient registration
Ability to work as part of a team and independently
Well-presented
Experience coordinating communication between Doctors and patients
Empathy and a mature approach to patient care
