Full time position based at our Red Hill Waste Management Facility

An opportunity has arisen to join the Team here and put your financial knowledge and acumen into action. From within our Local Government organisation, your input will be vital to ensure ongoing successful operations of our Waste Management sites, including the Red Hill Waste Management Facility, Hazelmere Resource Recovery Park and multiple Transfer Stations which perform a vital waste management and resource recovery role within the community. Sitting within the Business Support Team and reporting to the Manager Finance, this position is a key role within a highly functioning and supportive Team.

Key Responsibilities:

Implement the Red Hill Waste Management Facility composting quality control system and Food and Garden Organics process.

Collect and record relevant data on-site to enable accreditation of mulch and compost to Australian Standard AS4454.

Ensure all mulch and compost developed on-site is managed to meet accreditation standards.

Collect, label, and store waste samples from selected loads received at the Red Hill Waste Management Facility in accordance with sampling procedures.

Submit selected samples of compost for analysis based on a quality procedure.

To be successful in this position you will ideally possess

Experience

Experience in the operation of heavy plant and equipment

Qualifications

Current and valid WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).

Current and valid WA ‘HR’ Driver’s Licence (or equivalent).

Current and Valid Front-End Loader Ticket
