Due to continued growth, OLEOLOGY is currently seeking a Quality Assurance / Quality Control Officer for our HQ in Henderson WA. The QA/QC Coordinator with a mechanical engineering focus is responsible for ensuring that all mechanical works, components, and systems meet defined quality standards and comply with industry codes, project specifications, and client requirements. This role involves the development and implementation of quality assurance and control procedures, coordinating inspections and testing of mechanical equipment, and managing documentation for project quality records.
The Role
As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for:
Conducting internal audits and inspections
Managing and maintaining quality documents; including document reviews and system registration
Maintaining quality databases i.e. QMS Business Management System, Excel quality registers, SharePoint
Document control and change control activities
Maintaining client feedback data
Conducting conformance or incident investigations; or support for actions and closures
Preparing for and assisting with internal and external audits
Evaluating findings and implementing appropriate corrective actions
Developing and recommending corrective and preventative actions
Identify root causes of quality issues and lead corrective and preventive action processes
Recommend process improvements to increase product reliability and reduce rework
Compiling monthly quality reports
Perform or coordinate inspections of mechanical parts, piping systems, welds, and assemblies.
Maintain detailed records of inspection reports, test results, material certifications, and deviation reports
Develop and implement QA/QC plans and procedures for mechanical systems, components, and fabrication processes
Liaise with external manufacturing partners, suppliers and auditors
Liaise between the engineering, fabrication, and construction teams to ensure quality benchmarks are met
About You
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline
2 -3 years of experience in a relevant field
Experience with QA/QC documentation and reporting processes
ISO 9001 Lead auditor certification & sound understanding of ISO 9001 Quality Management System
Exceptional attention to detail, communication skills with proven experience liaising and building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Ability to prioritize work schedules and tasks to meet ever-changing work demands
Able to work as a team and autonomously with the drive for continuous improvement of the Quality Management System
Document and data / record management skills
Proficient in executing Microsoft programs
Live within 30-minute commute of Henderson WA
Authorization to work full-time in Australia
