The Specialist, Philanthropy and Impact is responsible for securing philanthropic gifts for the University of Wollongong by developing and executing targeted donor cultivation and engagement strategies that contribute to annual fundraising goals. The role manages relationships with current and prospective donors, implementing strategies to enhance donor retention and increase engagement. It involves recommending effective fundraising approaches, analysing prospect pipeline data in collaboration with the Advancement Services Team, and staying informed of best practices in donor relations. The position also supports the delivery of fundraising events and campaigns, drafts compelling donor proposals and communications, and builds strong internal and external relationships to ensure timely and strategic donor engagement.
