Salary: $79,203 - $94,186 per annum (pro rata) + 11.5% super

The Asset Officer role will play a key role in the management and upkeep of the City of Fremantle’s asset management system in relation to infrastructure, buildings and natural assets, with the goal of maximising their benefit to the community.

Key responsibilities include:

Assist in maintaining accurate records of the City’s assets in the asset database and generate reports on assets as required; working to ensure the integrity of the City’s corporate asset register.

Perform analysis of the data. This includes assisting with budgeting, re-forecasting and condition assessment to inform the long-term life cycle modelling of the various asset classes.

Assist in developing asset strategies and plans for the City’s assets in consultation with the relevant staff.

Work closely with other City business units to collect maintenance and capital works data as part of project handovers and input correctly into the asset register.

The successful applicant will have an inquiring mind and strong analytical skills, with impeccable attention to detail. Experience with large, complex databases is essential, along with effective communication and interpersonal skills to provide accurate, appropriate technical advice to management, staff and contractors.
