This local government organisation is seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team on a 3-month temporary basis, with the potential for extension or permanency. Responsible for delivering an optimal procurement service and program within the City, delivering value for money, quality advice, and timely customer service. Ensures purchasing and tender processes adhere to high standards of probity and accountability.

Your new role

As the Senior Procurement and Contracts Officer, you will oversee procurement activities and contract management to ensure compliance, efficiency, and value for money. Working closely with stakeholders, you will provide expert advice and deliver innovative solutions to meet organisational goals.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage procurement processes in line with established policies and legislation.
  
• Develop and oversee tender documentation and contract agreements.
  
• Provide expert advice to internal stakeholders on procurement strategies and practices.
  
• Monitor contract performance and ensure compliance with terms and conditions.
  
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in procurement and contract processes.
