ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Senior Finance Officer responsible for delivering high-quality financial support to the finance team. As part of our finance team, this role also includes bank reconciliation, financial reporting, general ledger maintenance and overseeing AP/AR functions. This is a fixed-term one-year contracted role with a possibility of extension.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Bank reconciliations for all bank accounts.
Monthly financial reports covering balance sheet, profit and loss and cashflow projections and General ledger reconciliations
Monthly finance reports for Job tracking categories
Monthly General ledger journals including month end journals
Perform ad hoc financial duties as needed to support the accountant to meet deadlines and ensure the efficient operation of financial team.
Billing and payment allocation for aged care and NDIS service divisions
Overseeing Accounts Receivable functions
Ensuring all invoices are coded as per the Chart of Accounts and processed accurately and taking proactive measures to minimise bad debts.
Overseeing Accounts Payable functions
Ensuring all payments are coded as per Chart of Accounts and processed accurately.
Backup for payroll during Payroll Officer’s leave, to ensure the continuity payroll operations.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
Minimum 2 years of work experience in accounting
Advanced computer software skills, including Excel and other financial software and tools for reporting and analysis purposes
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills and meeting deadlines
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Relevant qualification in Finance, or a related field
Xero Experience
Visa requirement to work in Australia
