About the role

The Yarram Country Club Inc' is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our team in Yarram, VIC. This is a full-time position that will be responsible for overseeing all culinary operations at our well-established country club.

What you'll be doing

• Plan, develop, and execute creative menus that showcase your culinary expertise and cater to the preferences of our diverse membership
• Manage and lead a team of kitchen staff, ensuring consistently high standards of food preparation and presentation
• Oversee the procurement of fresh, high-quality ingredients and manage food costs to maintain profitability
• Collaborate with the club's management team to identify opportunities for menu innovation and operational improvements
• Ensure that all food preparation and service adhere to relevant health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment in the kitchen and provide mentorship to junior staff

What we're looking for

• Proven track record of developing innovative menus and delivering exceptional dining experiences
• Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a kitchen team
• Excellent time management and organisational skills to ensure efficient kitchen operations
• In-depth knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and regulatory requirements
