We’re hiring Head Chef and Sous Chef positions across Rodolfos, a rooftop bar with a bold Asian fusion menu, and Oydis, a celebrated modern gastropub and cocktail bar influenced by the global flavours of the Old British Empire.

About the Venues

Rodolfos (Ormond Rooftop Bar):

A multi-level rooftop venue offering a vibrant Asian fusion-inspired shared menu. With a focus on creativity, bold flavours, and evolving dishes, Rodolfos is a place to grow, innovate, and make your mark in a brand-new kitchen with stunning city views.

Oydis (Ashburton Cocktail Bar):

A one-of-a-kind gastropub and cocktail bar recently featured in The Age Good Food Guide. Oydis blends Sri Lankan, Bangladeshi, Indian, and Nepalese culinary traditions with a modern flair. With a new dining room and purpose-built kitchen on the way, we’re ready to elevate the food offering to the next level.

Key Responsibilities (Depending on Role)

Take ownership of kitchen operations from prep to plating and everything in between.

Co-create and execute menus that celebrate bold fusion

Lead, train, and inspire your kitchen team as we grow.

Ensure high standards in food quality, presentation, and efficiency.

Manage inventory, ordering, and cost control in alignment with business goals.

Collaborate with ownership and FOH to deliver seamless guest experiences.

About You

Experience:

Head Chef: 3+ years in a leadership role.

Sous Chef: 1+ years in a similar position.

Style & Background:

Knowledge of or passion for East Asian, Mediterranean, South Asian, or fusion cuisines is highly desirable.

Personality:

Creative, hands-on, and collaborative.

Driven by excellence, open to innovation, and excited to leave your mark.

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in Kitchen Management preferred but not essential.
