Take the lead at one of Melbourne’s most exciting café concepts — right in the heart of Chadstone.

We’re looking for a skilled and organised Head Chef to manage the kitchen team at our newest and busiest location: Hank’s Bagelry Chadstone – The Market Pavilion.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and takes pride in running an efficient, high-standard kitchen.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead, support, and mentor the kitchen team daily

Create and manage staff rosters for smooth operations

Handle stock ordering, deliveries, and inventory control

Conduct regular stocktakes and track food costs

Uphold all food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards

Ensure quality, presentation, and portioning are consistent every time

Keep the kitchen clean, well-organised, and running efficiently

Communicate clearly with FOH, management, and suppliers

Drive a strong, positive kitchen culture and lead by example

What You Bring

Previous Head Chef or Senior Sous Chef experience

Strong organisational and communication skills

Ability to mentor and motivate a team

Experience with rostering, ordering, and stock control

Calm, confident leadership in a fast-paced kitchen

A hands-on, solutions-focused approach

Passion for food, quality, and great team culture

$75,000–$80,000 + Super

Full-time, 40 hours/week

Day shifts only — no nights
