Location: This position is based in Tumut, NSW.
Salary: $95,000 + per annum plus superannuation, dependent on skills and experience. The final salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate.

The Country Universities Centre (CUC) is a network of affiliated Regional University Study Hubs providing support, connection, and dedicated facilities for higher education students in regional communities.
CUC students benefit from being part of a local learning community, with opportunities to engage with peers, dedicated staff, and local industry. Through enhanced higher education access, regional people are empowered to shape vibrant and prosperous futures for themselves and their communities.
Country Universities Centre Snowy Valleys is a new Centre joining the Network. It is a not-for-profit community-driven organisation, jointly funded by the Department of Education and key local support. The role will ideally commence in July 2025, with the Centre due to open in November 2025.
The Role
This is a highly rewarding and unique opportunity to join the CUC team in shaping the education landscape for students in the Snowy Valley region. As Centre Manager, you will work with the Board of Directors and be supported by the CUC in implementing the strategic plan to increase access to higher education opportunities in the region. You will be integral to establishing the Centre and coordinating ongoing operations to support successful outcomes for students. You will also work with the CUC to develop and implement a marketing plan, foster and maintain relationships with stakeholders, and represent CUC Snowy Valleys at community events.
The appointment will initially be for a period of 3 years in alignment with our funding cycle with the opportunity to extend for subsequent periods through negotiation with the CUC Snowy Valleys Board of Directors.
We Are Looking For
We’re looking for someone with relevant undergraduate qualifications and/or experience who’s passionate about driving meaningful change in education outcomes across the region.
The ability to engage with local students from diverse backgrounds and pursue key opportunities to support students to identify and achieve their academic goals;
An experienced collaborator with the ability to build strong relationships within the CUC network, the Snowy Valley community, and with diverse external stakeholders to promote the CUC’s aims;
Excellent organisational and time management capability, combined with high-level computer skills; and
A dedicated individual with the agility to execute the strategic plan and manage the day-to-day running of the Centre.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
