Details: The Child Development Service has a vacancy for a temporary ASO5 Corporate Administration Officer for four days per week.
The Corporate Officer in this position will be focussed on supporting the Child Development Service to deliver the best possible outcomes through a range of administrative support functions to provide high quality customer services to clients and staff.
The role sits within the administration team to provide administrative, finance and business services to CDS to support the needs of the ACT community.
The Corporate Administration Officer oversees a small team and requires excellent supervision, organisation, communication and administration skills with proficiency with a variety of computer applications, databases and spreadsheets, and a focus on best practice business processes.

Eligibility/ Other Requirements:
- This position does require a current Australian Driver’s license.
- This position does require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration.
- Experience in supervision of Administration Support Officers.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and Database systems.
- As this role is likely to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families and young people, cultural awareness, the capacity to work with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people is highly desirable.
Note: This is a temporary part-time position available immediately for four days a week at (29:24) hours per week for a period of seven months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency and the full-time salary noted above will be pro-rata. Selection may be based on written application and referee reports only. A merit pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months.
