About Balonne Shire:

The Balonne Shire is located along the beautiful Balonne River, just five hours' drive west of Brisbane on the QLD-NSW border. Balonne Shire Council has a dedicated team of 110+ staff and population of 4,500 people who live in the surrounding towns of St George, Thallon, Dirranbandi, Bollon, Nindigully, Mungindi and Hebel.

About the Position:

The Administration Officer - General is responsible for providing administration and customer service support for Council's corporate, finance and administration function.

About you:

High-level customer service and verbal / written communication skills with an ability to liaise effectively with stakeholders in a culturally diverse environment

Analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proven ability to use initiative, investigate issues, collect and analyse data and to make recommendations on solutions

Ability to work unsupervised, meet deadlines and deliver high quality outcomes.

Highly developed computer skills, including proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite

Minimum two (2) years relevant professional experience, in similar positions

Experience with SynergySoft and Magiq would be advantageous

Ability to interpret and apply policies, procedures and legislative requirements

What we offer:

This is a full-time permanent position, salary cash component – Level 1.4 - $61,045 per annum.

Locality allowance of $1,945 per annum

19-day month

5 Weeks Annual Leave
