About the business
The Daniel Morcombe Foundation was established in May 2005 as a lasting legacy to Daniel Morcombe. It was established by parents Bruce and Denise after their son Daniel was abducted and murdered in December 2003 while waiting to catch a bus on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland.
The Foundation's key role in the community is the education of all children about their personal safety. By directly assisting educators and parents through the funding and development of child safety educational resources as well as assisting young victims of crime, the Foundation continues to empower all Australians to make their local communities safer places for all children.
The Foundation is strongly committed to the development and education of Respectful Relationships for children and teenagers in our schools and communities and also assisting in reducing the over-representation of Indigenous Australians in the Child Protection sector.
The Foundation's objectives are:
· To educate children regarding their personal safety (including abduction).
· To assist victims of crime, particularly where crime involves children.
· To remember Daniel with suitable child safety community awareness events.
· To support the families of Missing Persons particularly where it involves children.
About the role
Position Objectives:
You will oversee and manage the delivery of the multiple projects that the Daniel Morcombe Foundation is funded to deliver through several government grants, sponsorship agreements or as fundraising and promotional activity of the Foundation..
Key Responsibilities
Work closely with DMF General Manager to ensure the strategic and operational plans are achieved, and that project plans are developed and assigned to relevant employees and contractors.
Work collaboratively with the DMF General Manager to track performance of the projects against key performance indicators as set out in the relevant grant contracts and sponsorship agreements.
Maintain projects progress reports, including expenditure tracking on individual projects.
Contribute to progress reports and acquittals as required by the relevant funding entity.
Requirements of the Job
Demonstrated effective project management skills.
Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
Effective communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Honesty and professionalism, with a respect for our clients and customers.
Ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.
Ability to contribute to a positive culture within the team.
Ability to identify problems and provide solutions.
Must have excellent analytical thinking skills and problem-solving abilities.

Ensure compliance with all DMF policies and procedures.
Ensure confidentiality in accordance with professional standards and DMF policies.
Working with the Daniel Morcombe Foundation to support additional projects as required
Key Selection Criteria:
1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in business or project management.
2. Demonstrated experience in the delivery of projects.
3. Understanding of the reporting requirements for sponsorships and government grants.
4. Demonstrated experience in leading a team.
5. Sound knowledge of technology and computer software applications (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Asana and Powerpoint) and their operation.
6. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Other requirements:
· Eligibility for a Qld Working with Children Blue Card, including a Police Check.
· Software program capability:
o Microsoft Office Suite
o Asana or similar project management software
· Social media platform experience (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn)
· Evening and week-end work may be required of this position on occasions.
· This position is required to deliver key events throughout the year: Day for Daniel (October), Walk for Daniel (October), Dance for Daniel (March).
