Lighthouse Connect Services is an NDIS-registered and Australian-owned organisation, providing a wide range of services to clients with a disability and/or complex mental health diagnosis across Australia.
In this role, you will take full ownership of the financial operations within our business unit. Your responsibilities will include overseeing day-to-day commercial financial analysis and ensuring alignment among stakeholders regarding the unit’s performance.
We are seeking a passionate & experienced Management Accountant to join our vibrant, hardworking, friendly, and committed team. This is a Full-Time role.
Responsibilities:
Budget Development and Forecasting
Develop and maintain detailed budgets and forecasts aligned with NDIS funding structures, ensuring compliance with scheme guidelines and company objectives.
Resource Allocation Insights
Provide financial insights for effective allocation of resources across services such as SIL, STA, Plan Management, and Support Coordination.
Plan Management Oversight
Oversee financial operations of Plan Management services, including processing invoices, managing client budgets, and ensuring accurate reporting of NDIS claims and disbursements.
Stakeholder Liaison and Fund Utilisation
Liaise with participants, providers, and the NDIA to resolve discrepancies and ensure transparent fund utilisation.
Service Cost Analysis
Conduct regular cost analysis of service streams (SIL, STA, Support Coordination) to identify areas for improvement and cost-efficiency.
Benchmarking and Performance Evaluation
Implement benchmarking systems to evaluate financial performance and service delivery efficiency against industry standards.
Strategic Financial Reporting
Prepare financial and strategic reports for senior management, enabling informed decision-making for resource expansion, pricing strategy, and service development.
Profitability Analysis
Deliver insights on profitability of various support services, supporting business growth planning and compliance.
Regulatory Compliance
Ensure strict adherence to NDIS financial guidelines, Australian accounting standards, and internal governance protocols.
Audit and Risk Management Support
Support audit processes and contributed to the development of financial risk mitigation strategies.
Sustainability and Financial Impact Assessment
Advise management on integrating environmentally sustainable practices and evaluating the financial impact of potential carbon pricing obligations or green initiatives.
Financial Communication and Liaison
Act as a financial liaison between stakeholders—including support workers, clients, NDIS participants, and financial institutions—ensuring clarity in transactions and financial commitments.
Risk Identification and Mitigation
Identify financial risks and proposed solutions to improve fiscal stability and service sustainability.
Continuous Improvement Contribution
Contribute to continuous quality improvement initiatives by monitoring cost-effectiveness of care services and supporting implementation of recommendations from service reviews.
Ownership of Budgeting and Forecasting for P&L
Take full ownership of budgeting and forecasting processes for the Profit & Loss statement, ensuring accurate financial planning and alignment with business goals.
Your Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Management Accountant or in a similar financial role
Strong knowledge and application of Australian Accounting Standards, principles, and practices
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to conduct complex financial analysis
Proven ability to analyse financial information, identify issues, and implement effective management accounting solutions
Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to support team objectives and contribute to broader business outcomes
Commitment to delivering outstanding customer service with a proactive and solutions-focused approach in a dynamic office environment
Experience working with large-scale financial systems such as XERO, MS Office.
Knowledge about NDIS is desirable.
