Position:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Functions Supervisor to oversee the successful delivery of onsite and offsite events, including weddings. This role involves managing day-to-day event operations, supervising event staff, liaising with clients, ensuring exceptional service standards, and coordinating logistics for events both at our venue and external locations. This role will start as a Part Time position (~30hrs/wk) with the potential for an increase to Full Time.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the setup, execution, and pack-down of events both onsite and offsite.

Lead, train, and manage a team of event staff, including casuals and contractors.

Act as the main point of contact for clients during events, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.

Ensure all events are delivered to a high standard, in line with client expectations and company procedures.

Coordinate logistics, including transportation of equipment and supplies for offsite functions.

Work closely with kitchen, beverage, and logistics teams to ensure seamless service delivery.

Skills and Experience:

Minimum 4 years experience in event supervision, hospitality management, or a related field.

Full driver’s license

Experience with offsite event logistics highly desirable.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Excellent communication, client service, and problem-solving abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances.

Current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification.

Working Conditions:

Must be available for evening, weekend, and public holiday shifts as required.

Physical ability to assist with event setup and pack-down, including lifting and moving equipment.

Travel to offsite venues is a key part of the role.
