About the Client:-

We are exclusively recruiting a luxury brand Lead Industrial / Mechanical Designer role office-based Monday to Friday on the Gold Coast in front of wall plumbing hardware. This is a permanent position reporting into the State Development Manager. This is a highly sort after newly formed position working within a team of talented Design and Drafting individuals located in thier brand new premises on the glorious Gold Coast. Roles in this National organisation are rare as the retention of permanent staff is second to none with a staff survey at 90% would recommend as a great place to work! About you and the role:-

You will be a Degree Qualified Industrial or Mechanical Designer experienced in the design and development of new tapware, shower fixtures and other architectural products used in front of wall bathroom, laundry and kitchen spaces, including the creation of detailed technical specifications, patents, prototypes, and engineering drawings.
• Experience in selecting suitable materials & manufacture processes, nominating of tolerances etc.
• Experience with design software and tools, such as AutoCAD and simulation software. Drawing: Inventor, PLM: Bluestar (sits within the CRM, D365). Knowledge of Microsoft suite. And MS Office Project management software
• Assembling new prototypes, conducting rigorous testing and evaluation of product designs to ensure they meet quality, safety, and performance standards. This includes R & D (in house) not outsourced and testing of products in the inhouse lab and assisting with certification and compliance of products.
• Optimising product designs for manufacturability and cost-effectiveness.
• Providing technical support and guidance to the production team to ensure seamless implementation of new products
• Staying up to date with industry trends, technologies, and regulations to inform the product development process

This role will provide the successful candidate with a team of internal support including Drafting, an Industrial Design Graduate and Administrative Project support and Manufacturing support. Must have a current passport, police clearance check, and the ability to travel internationally to global trade shows of which there would be 2 to 4 international trips to China per annum all expenses paid. Loads of opportunity for advancement to grow this Design team and replace yourself down the track to head up this already successful division.

Base salary highly lucrative, with yearly increases on performance, all allowances paid, external training support and team focussed events and lunches etc.
