Production Engineer (Life Sciences)
JOB SUMMARY
Seeking a Production Engineer with 2–3 years of experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry, and at least 2 years of cleanroom experience. This is a full-time position with a rapidly scaling biotech company preparing for IPO. The right candidate will play a key role in daily manufacturing operations and will evolve into a leadership position within 2–3 years.
This is a hands-on role ideal for someone with strong self-awareness, intuitive problem-solving abilities, and the adaptability to grow within a high-change, high-growth environment.

ROLE/DESCRIPTION
Working with the Production Lead, the Production Engineer will support core manufacturing operations, quality compliance, and scale-up activities.
You will:
Perform daily production activities in a GMP-compliant cleanroom environment
Maintain batch records and ensure adherence to SOPs
Inspect incoming goods and manage inventory
Support equipment maintenance and calibration
Contribute to process scale-up and validation initiatives
Collaborate with the quality assurance team to uphold high product standards
Maintain accurate documentation including inventory logs and production records
Adhere to workplace safety protocols and promote a compliant working environment
REQUIREMENTS
The following experience is essential - please ensure all criteria are met before applying.
2–3 years’ experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical manufacturing role
Minimum 2 years of cleanroom experience in a regulated (GMP) environment
Knowledge of ISO standards
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related discipline
Excellent documentation and quality compliance mindset
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Australian Citizenship or Permanent Residency required
A proactive, adaptable, and growth-oriented mindset with strong self-awareness
