About the role

Townsville Plant Wholesalers' is seeking a full-time General Nursery Hand to join our team in Townsville, Queensland. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting with the day-to-day operations of our thriving plant nursery, ensuring the highest standards of plant health and customer service.

What you'll be doing

Caring for and maintaining a wide variety of plants, including watering, pruning, fertilizing, and pest control

Assisting with potting, re-potting, and preparing plants for sale

Propagation & motherstock maintenance

Pest identification and control

Media preparation and fertigation tasks

Maintaining a clean and organised nursery environment

Undertaking other general nursery duties as required

What we're looking for

Prior experience working in a nursery or horticultural environment is preferable

Experience not essential and on/off site training provided, and we will support you the whole way!!!!

A keen interest in and knowledge of a wide variety of plants, their care, and growing requirements

Strong attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions accurately

Good physical fitness

Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, helpful attitude

A commitment to maintaining a safe and organised work environment
