Nourish Young Minds – Chef Opportunity at Busy Bees on Furlong Road

Are you a qualified Chef with a passion for preparing nutritious meals in a caring environment? Busy Bees on Furlong Road is looking for an experienced Chef to join our team. We’d especially love to hear from candidates who have experience working in a childcare environment and understand the dietary needs of young children.

About the Role

Prepare and serve daily meals (morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea) for children aged 0–5

Plan rotating seasonal menus aligned with nutrition and allergy guidelines

Maintain a safe, clean and organised kitchen that meets all food safety requirements

Ensure all dietary, cultural and allergy-related needs are respected and catered for

Collaborate with centre leadership and educators to support the wellbeing of children

What You’ll Need

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent

Valid Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Previous experience working in a childcare or similar regulated environment (preferred)

Working With Children Check (NSW)

First Aid and CPR certifications (desirable but not essential)

Strong time management and organisational skills

Knowledge of HACCP, safe food handling practices and allergy management
