A couple to caretaking an accommodation property as all-rounders for a beautiful Norfolk Island property

The job:

• Service weekly & immaculately six fully self-contained villas.

• Manage the booking system and accounts accurately using Xero and our booking system.

• Provide guests with a high standard of customer service.

• Know how to maintain grounds, gardens, spa and pool

• Carry out general maintenance jobs and repairs

• Launder linen/towel onsite - no commercial laundry on the island.

• Liaise with on-call housekeeper and tradespeople and keep records

• Reside onsite in a two-bedroom cottage with utilities included.

The complex is an eight-hectare private peninsula, with each villa providing the guests with world-class views.

The successful applicants must live onsite in a two-bedroom cottage and be able to carry out administrative tasks, clean and present the six villas to a high standard, enjoy guest relations, care for the grounds, gardens, and maintenance, and be self-motivated and passionate about the role.

Norfolk Island is a two-hour flight from Sydney or Brisbane. It enjoys a subtropical climate and a great lifestyle.

The business functions on the island may differ slightly from those you operate under. Here is a brief insight to help you better understand the role. If you can fulfil the roles, please don't hesitate to ask questions to ensure the tasks and what we offer are fully understood.

Most guests book 60 days in advance and are fully paid in advance. The average stay is 7 nights. Guests are greeted at the airport. A hire car company delivers their car to the airport, and we guide the guests to Shearwater. Qantas is the carrier from the East Coast, with three afternoon arrivals from Sydney and three from Brisbane. Flight time range between 2 - 2.5 hours.

Each villa is homely, fully self-contained and spacious. We do not do daily service. For stays beyond seven days, we service mid-way.

The property has well-established grounds and some lawns near the villas and orchards; the remainder of the site is divided into three paddocks for a couple of cattle to maintain the grasses. The current managers keep chickens. If one is keen on a food-to-plate lifestyle, there's good soil and space for a vegetable garden and a variety of existing fruit trees.
