They are now seeking a Finance Officer — someone who doesn’t just process numbers but helps build the operational foundation that future success depends on.

The Role

This isn’t finance from a distance. It’s finance at the coalface — practical, fast-moving, essential. You'll own the accounts payable process end-to-end, processing up to 500 invoices monthly, mastering the flow between Varicon and MYOB Advanced, and ensuring that suppliers, projects, and internal teams move in step.
You'll manage the pulse of the admin office — fielding calls, coordinating supplies, solving problems — and, for the right candidate, there’s the opportunity to step beyond the ledger: supporting procurement systems, mentoring users, and shaping smarter ways of working across the business.

As the company grows, so too will your role. Future opportunities to step into broader finance, systems, or operations roles will be available for those who show initiative, leadership, and the desire to contribute beyond their immediate remit. YOur Duties will include, but not be limited to:-

Own the Procure-to-Pay process from invoice to payment

Manage AP volumes (400–500 invoices/month) with pinpoint accuracy

Match POs, troubleshoot discrepancies, reconcile supplier statements

Administer the shared invoice tracking system to drive accountability

Run the admin hub: manage calls, mail, office supplies, and couriers

Support weekly plant costings and ad hoc financial reporting

Contribute to systems improvements, including Varicon user training

Skills & Experience

Working knowledge of MYOB Advanced and/or construction systems (e.g., Varicon) is desirable but not essential

Experience with Accounts Payable and raining PO's

Exceptional accuracy and reconciliation skills

Proactive communicator who builds positive relationships internally and externally

Self-starter attitude — ready to work independently but thrive as part of a team

Bonus: systems administration or process improvement experience
