About the role

As the Head Chef at Eagle Heights Mountain Resort, you will lead a team of talented chefs in creating exceptional dining experiences for our guests. This is a full-time position based at our stunning resort in Wongawallan, Queensland, with opportunities for career growth and development.

What you'll be doing

Oversee the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring all meals are prepared to the highest standards

Develop and refine the menu

Manage and mentor the kitchen team, providing guidance and training to help them reach their full potential

Collaborate with the food and beverage team to deliver seamless dining service

Monitor food costs and inventory, implementing strategies to improve efficiency and profitability

Ensure compliance with all health, safety and hygiene regulations

What we're looking for

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Head Chef or in a senior culinary role within the hospitality industry

Strong leadership and people management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team

Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating innovative, flavourful dishes

Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and cost control procedures

Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and customers

A collaborative, solution-oriented mindset and the ability to work well under pressure
