Located at Woodman Point, Cockburn Power Boats is a non-profit, member-based Club proudly supporting a community of approximately 1200 members. We aim to promote and encourage the safe and enjoyable use of recreational watercraft powered by sail or engine. We’re also dedicated to educating our members on recreational boating regulations and safety at sea.
We are currently seeking two (2) enthusiastic and efficient Administrative Assistants to join our small, dedicated team in a part-time, job-share arrangement. This unique opportunity offers job flexibility and the chance to work in a beautiful coastal location, while contributing to a community-focused organisation.
About the Role
As the first point of contact for members and visitors, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional service and supporting the day-to-day operations of the Club. You'll work closely with the Club Manager and team, handling a variety of administrative tasks and helping coordinate Club and Member services, events, and boating facility management.
Key Responsibilities
Manage front desk duties: phone, email and in-person enquiries
Support the Club Manager with daily operations and administration
Provide exceptional customer service to our members, maintain our membership database and handle new member inductions
Coordinate boat pen and hardstand storage allocations
Coordinate and document meetings including the Committee Management meetings and AGM
Assist with Club event and function room bookings and coordinate Club initiatives as required
Monitor compliance, maintain documentation and assist with policy and procedure updates
Maintain inventory, report minor maintenance issues and assist with general Club upkeep
Provide accounts payable and receivable support and handle petty cash and EFTPOS
Other administrative duties as required.
Candidate Profile
Essential:
Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar administrative role or relevant qualifications
Experience in customer or member database systems
Strong computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office
A confident communicator with excellent customer service skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a small team
High level of organisation, professionalism, and confidentiality
Willingness to cover periods of leave, work flexibly and occasionally outside standard hours (where required).
Desirable:
Experience in event or financial administration is advantageous, though not essential.
Additional Requirements
Current national police clearance
Valid C Class WA Driver’s Licence
