To be considered for this role, you must have 5+ years experience within the Road Freight/Transport Space.

Position Objectives:

JOB DESCRIPTION

• The NSW State Manager position is responsible for all operational functions that are required to effectively operate NSW Business.
• This role is key to providing high levels of client satisfaction by ensuring the company’s Sydney branch and NSW network agents maintain outstanding service levels.
• The NSW State Manager must develop productivity improvement initiatives in line with the company’s business plan to deliver improved margin and profit.

Job Description - Key Accountabilities & Purpose:

• Maintain a safe and compliant work environment and provide leadership in safety.
• Ensure that all transport and warehouse operations are compliant with all legislative requirements.
• Maintain a clean and tidy work environment in all areas of the Sydney facility.
• Maintain high levels of company vehicle and personnel presentation.
• Ensure the Sydney branch achieves the company and customer specific SLA targets daily.
• Ensure all team members are fully trained in and are following our company policies, procedures and SOP’s.
• Ensure all required company and or customer reporting is completed and submitted to the appropriate person as required.
• All pallets (CHEP/LOSCAM/ other) are accounted for and managed so the facility does not have a deficit at any time.

Measurements:

• Profitability of the Sydney Branch transport and warehouse operations.
  Branch and network service performance to be plus 99% as measured in three key areas.
• Compliance to project timelines as detailed in the company business plan.

Health & Safety:

• Ensure compliance to Standard Operating Procedures and legislation.
  Promote OH&S culture throughout the organisation and manage regular toolbox compliance.
  
• Ensure the Company’s environmental policies and statutory environmental obligations are adhered to.
  
• In the event of an accident/incident ensure that the correct reporting procedure is followed and corrective action is taken where necessary.
