The Langham Hotel Melbourne is currently looking for a full-time Information Technology Officer to join our team.
You will have the opportunity to work with the IT/Finance Team of a luxury hotel. This is an exciting opportunity for you to grow your hotel skill set to build a career within The Langham, Melbourne should you be determined and dedicated.
Reporting to the IT Manager and Regional Director of Finance, your role will be responsible for managing the day-to-day IT requirements for our guests and employees.
This position is an integral part of a high-performing hotel team and a key contributor to the hotel's ongoing success.
Key responsibilities include:
Maintenance of Windows Server, and AD administration, including 2008, 2012, and 2016
Supported remotely by our IT Manager on servers, projects, and Issues, or when required
Assisting in integrating and implementing a range of technical updates
Maintaining and updating the hotel's IT equipment inventory
Troubleshooting level 1 and 2 issues
Providing face-to-face and Remote IT support
Ownership of the help desk system and resolution
Analysing, developing, interpreting, and evaluating complex system design and architecture specifications, data models, and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of computer systems.
Research and analyse regarding network infrastructure.
Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, and communications.
Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and administering new and upgraded networks, software, database applications, servers, and workstations
Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements
Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions
Preferred experience/qualifications include:
Product knowledge on Opera, FCS system, and operational software in the hospitality environment
CompTIA A+ or equivalent
MCSA: Windows Server 2016 or equivalent
CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or equivalent
You will need:
A Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a help desk environment supporting levels 1-3
Tertiary qualification in IT - graduates welcome to apply
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical problems or issues related to computer software and systems.
Experience supporting Windows environments and Active Directory, routers, and switches
Proven ability to problem-solve
Ability to prioritise and manage workload.
