About the Role
Information Support Officers (ISO) work within a small team to provide technical system advice and support for health and education sector stakeholders across Victoria on using Placeright to plan, manage, collect and report on student placements.
Placeright is a secure, web-based information system that provides a standard, consistent and secure system for managing student placements between placement providers (i.e. health services) and their education provider partners (i.e. university, TAFE). Funded by the Department of Health, the ISO role reports to the Placeright Manager and works as part of a small team to support users at all 88 Victorian Public health services and 86 education providers.
As an ISO, you will have broad responsibility for the provision of support, advice and training using Placeright and related training and development resources to ensure government policies for the health workforce are supported.
Working from home is fully supported for this role.
Key Responsibilities
Provide advice and support to health and human services stakeholders on workforce programs and initiatives.
Promote collaboration and integration across departmental programs and workforce initiatives.
Support student placement stakeholders with tools like Placeright, reporting, resources, and guidance.
Assist in planning, delivering, and monitoring key workforce projects and initiatives.
Maintain accurate records, manage risks, and contribute to reports, briefings, and strategic advice.
Uphold confidentiality, safety, and compliance standards while working with autonomy and professionalism.
Skills & Experience
Quickly learns new systems (e.g. Placeright), provides remote support, and solves software issues.
Delivers clear written and verbal messages tailored to the audience; welcomes feedback.
Gathers facts, explores issues from different angles, and proposes practical solutions.
Actively meets stakeholder needs, improves service quality, and pays attention to detail.
Works collaboratively, respects different working styles, and helps resolve conflict.
Undergoes required police checks; experience with Placeright and understanding of student placement and data systems is highly valued.
