Currently, an exciting opportunity is available to join their remarkable team in Tullamarine as a Quoting & Pricing Specialist.

Reporting to the Branch Manager this state-based role, will focus on both new business as well as existing customers generating new pricing and quotes, as well as:

• Working very closely with the sales team with lead generation pricing support, tender response and providing quotations.
• Work with other stakeholders to help generate reports, retrieve relevant data to manage the timely turnaround of quotes.
• Liase with internal department, carriers, overseas agents and vendors to collate data, generate and analyst reports, to maximize profitability for both air and ocean freight logistics solutions.
• Update company tariffs, and other client pricing information.
• Interpret profit margins, and costings.

To be considered for this role:

• Experience working for a local freight forwarding in a senior customer service, air or sea operations role that includes pricing and / or quoting.
• Have a margins mind-set
• A strong commercial acumen
• Ability to interpret sales data
• Be able to attend sales meetings and address issues, or other matters concerning tariffs and pricing
• At least 2 years' experience understand pricing and margins
• Excellent communication, and presentation skills
• Cargowise experience is advantageous
