As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator to join our growing team and contribute to the delivery of beautifully executed projects across Victoria.

About the Role

Reporting directly to the Director and working closely with our construction and design teams, the Construction Estimator will play a vital role in ensuring project viability, efficiency, and profitability. You will be responsible for producing detailed cost assessments, managing tender submissions, and providing key commercial insights to support informed decision-making from concept through to delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review architectural plans, specifications and scopes of work to derive comprehensive cost breakdowns.

• Quantify materials, labour, and resources required, using established rates and supplier quotes to compile project estimates.

• Evaluate project variables and site-specific factors to develop realistic timelines and pricing strategies.

• Consult with architects, engineers, and project managers to clarify technical details and adjust estimates as required.

• Prepare cost proposals, BOQs, and comparative analysis for subcontractor quotes to support procurement and tendering.

• Track project cost movements from pre-contract stage through delivery, providing regular updates to key stakeholders.

• Identify commercial risks and potential cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality or compliance.

• Support the implementation of cost tracking systems, databases, and procedures to maintain consistency across bids.

About You

You will be a detail-oriented estimator with a sound understanding of the construction industry and a passion for architecture-led builds. Your ability to think analytically, communicate clearly, and manage competing deadlines will be key to your success.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience as a construction estimator in the building industry, ideally within commercial or residential sectors.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and services documentation.

• Familiarity with estimating software (CostX preferred) and Microsoft Excel.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Knowledge of the Building Code of Australia and relevant industry regulations.

• A team player who thrives in a fast-paced and detail-driven environment.

• Proficiency in Mandarin is highly regarded – many of our clients and suppliers are Mandarin-speaking, and strong communication skills in Mandarin will be an asset in building rapport and managing relationships effectively.
